DC Star Security Agency is a

privately manned security service provider. David Lee Cahow,

founder and business manager of DC Star Security Agency, is a graduate of Colorado State

University with a BSBA in Business Management and Administration. He previously attended

Grand Valley State University with a major in Business Law. David Lee has 7 years experience

within the criminal justice system as well as being a Park Ranger for the National Park Service.

David Lee has also spent 6 years in the U.S. Army. He has made it his mission to correct the

issues found in large scale security providers by ensuring that the service provided is tailored to

meet all of the clients individual security needs.

The influence for DC Star Security Agency is to provide an individual interest directed toward

each client. We recognize that large providers of security services do not meet individual needs

and operate in an assembly line type fashion. Here, at DC Star Security Agency, we specialize in

working with your business to create an individualized plan to meet your needs.

Our values are to protect, to serve, commit, be loyal, and to be trust worthy allies in meeting

your security goals. We conduct business according to the security officer code of ethics and

take pride in the level of services we provide to our clients.

We are fully licensed and insured up to $1,000,000.00 of liability as well as $1,000,000.00 in

company vehicle coverage and workman’s compensation insurance. We have not had any

claims to this date. We ensure that all federal guidelines are continually met, while working

closely with the National Security Agency and other national affiliates.

We are still a new and mid-sized company that is still growing. We originally began business in

Colorado Springs but are now rapidly expanding to Denver and the surrounding areas.

We currently have 3 field supervisors and 25 security officers at any given time.

DC Star has a very minimal turnover rate.

We require all of our officers to be licensed which requires an extensive background check and a

9 hour security training course. All officers are required to be certified in CPR, First Aid, and Crisis

Prevention (from the Crisis Prevention Institute Inc.). Continuous training is mandated for all

officers employed by DC Star Security Agency. Our employees primarily consist of highly

trained retired police officers and military veterans. These qualities clearly characterize our

strengths and undoubtedly set us apart from the rest.

Our officers are required to call our 24 hour dispatch number at (719)285-5172 for every hour

that they remain on duty. There is always someone available to answer the call.

Field supervisors regularly patrol to ensure that the client’s

needs are adequately met by the officers we assign.

We strongly maintain the readiness of our officers and field supervisors at all times.
